Seti Khola – Lahachowk 132 kV Transmission Line Project

Seti Khola – Lahachowk 132 kV Transmission Line Project

This project involves about 4 km transmission line route that is located within Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality of Kaski district of Gandaki Province. This transmission line will evacuate power generated from Seti Khola Hydroelectric Project (25 MW) through a single circuit 132 kV line to Lahachowk Substation of Nepal Electricity Authority which is presently under-construction.

Jade Consult is carrying out the detail engineering study and tender documents preparation of this project that includes the review of the selected project option, the review and updating of power system studies, the conceptual design for the 132 kV transmission facilities (overhead line and substations), the cost estimation as well as the financial and economic analysis. Vision Lumbini Urja Co. Ltd. is the owner of this project.

In this project, I’m responsible for all geological and geotechnical studies which involves engineering geological studies and investigation for foundation design of towers. The project is located in Lesser Himalayan zone of west central Nepal. The route passes through recent floodplain deposit of Seti River, river terrace deposit, and hardened conglomerate deposit of Pokhara Valley.
